Released in December 2023, this coffee-table style book explores the environmental crises and positive sustainability movements of the Sunshine Coast, to understand our local ecosystems and community on a deeper level. I aim to reorientate how we communicate about environmental degradation to ensure the readers are left feeling curious and hopeful rather than doomed and helpless. 

Bringing youth perspectives into environmental conversations is critical, as the evidence of environmental degradation - on a local and global scale - is undeniable. Exploring the past and present cultural and environmental changes is critical for understanding where we are going. With youth engagement and empowerment, education, and cultural movements, we have the potential to change our relationship with the Earth for a greener, brighter future. 

Supported by Tourism Noosa, this book is proudly printed on 100% recycled paper and 100% solar power, by local printing specialist Sunprint. Featuring nature photography, research articles, interviews with inspiring local environmentalists and much more, I have explored the environmental issues and positive movements of the Sunshine Coast focused on the elements of Earth, Water, and Air, through the transformation of past, present, and future. Through the process of creating this book, I have found an abundance of inspiration, education, hope, and opportunity; and I truly hope that every reader finds the same.
